Who We Are
The Ideas Company is a strategic communications, media, advocacy, and specialized consulting practice built to help people and organizations move through moments of visibility, complexity, transition, and change with clarity, strategy, and purpose.
Led by Michelle Webb, The Ideas Company brings together more than two decades of leadership in media, marketing, journalism, brand development, strategic planning, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, content strategy, and public-facing storytelling. Michelle has held senior leadership roles at Verizon, Disney/ABC, and CBS News, where she led cross-functional teams, developed high-impact campaigns, negotiated complex partnerships, and helped organizations communicate clearly when the stakes were high.
A multi-Emmy award-winning producer, Harvard-educated leader, and Columbia MBA, Michelle combines executive experience with a deeply human approach to strategy. Her work is grounded in the belief that strong ideas need more than attention — they need structure, language, trust, disciplined execution, and the right people at the table.
Today, The Ideas Company extends that expertise across communications strategy, reputation support, public engagement, mission-centered consulting, and care advocacy. Through Ideas Care Advocacy and Home Support Consulting, a dedicated service vertical of The Ideas Company, Michelle supports families navigating care decisions for elders, veterans, disabled, differently abled, and incapacitated loved ones at home or in care facilities.
This work is informed by Michelle’s experience as a New York State trained and court-sworn guardian for incapacitated persons, as well as her ability to help families organize information, prepare for difficult conversations, ask better questions, and connect with appropriate professional resources. When specialized guidance is needed, The Ideas Company can help coordinate access to independent professionals and trusted resources, including legal, medical, financial, care-related, and community-based experts, as appropriate.
